Common questions

How much is gastos, and how do I get the free month?

₱99 a month, billed by Apple. For your first month free, tap Got the GASTOS code? on the subscription screen before subscribing (or Settings → gastos Premium → Redeem a code) and enter GASTOS.

Can my family use my subscription?

Yes. gastos Premium works with Apple Family Sharing: one ₱99 subscription covers up to 6 people in your Family Sharing group. Each person's money data stays separate and private on their own iPhone.

How do I cancel?

In gastos, open Settings → gastos Premium → Manage subscription, or on your iPhone go to Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Your data stays on your iPhone after you cancel.

Do I need an account?

No. gastos works fully on your iPhone without one. Sign in with Apple is optional and only needed to sync between devices.

How do I record a credit card payment?

Buying with the card is an Expense paid with that card. Paying the card later is a Transfer from your bank to the card — so it's never counted as spending twice. On the card's screen, tap Pay card.

How is "You can spend today" worked out?

Your total money, minus recurring bills due before your next payday, divided by the days until then. With no recurring income set, it runs to the end of the month. Tap the strip above the tab bar to see the numbers. You can turn it off in Settings.

Can I change how a wallet card looks?

Yes. Open the wallet, tap Edit → Card Style, and pick a texture, any color, or a photo. Long-press a card in Wallets and drag it onto another to reorder.

Why doesn't a card photo or pass show on my other device?

Card photos and cards & passes (IDs, loyalty and health cards) stay on the iPhone where you added them, for privacy. Other devices show the wallet's color instead.

How do I delete my data?

To remove synced data, go to Settings → Sync → Delete account. This deletes your account and everything on our server. To remove data on your iPhone, delete the app.

I forgot to unlock — gastos is locked with Face ID

Tap Unlock and use Face ID, Touch ID or your iPhone passcode. You can turn the lock off in Settings → Privacy.
